I'm now CD 17, which means I have 11 more days until I either have the displeasure of going through AF again or I can test. 11 days seems like an eternity, doesn't it? I'm not in much of a rush, I hated having AF last Month with the nasty cramps kicking off. As much as I keep dreaming about getting pregnant, I'm a little worried about the morning sickness! I swear, if I didn't get so sick in pregnancy I'd had absolutely no hesitation to get pregnant again. Labor is the worst but I can trick myself into pretending it's not that bad, it'll be easier this time, or maybe I can just skip that part. There's no working around the 24/7 morning sickness for months though. I dread it. I'll go through it again because I want another baby, but I'm defintely not eager about it! So many people, I find, just don't understand that. In fact, outside of my family I can't find anyone who gets so sick during pregnancy. No wonder people think I'm exaggerating (is it possible to exaggerate broken blood vessels and toliets full of vomit??) because everyone else seems to have a little nauseousness and then they're done! Why can't I have a little of that? How lovely. I think I'd have a dozen kids if I could do it without the morning sickness.
Okay, that's not true at all. My poor body would be ruined beyond natural repair and my nipples would fall off by that point. But still, I'd be more eager with no hesitation if it wasn't for the stupid sickness!
Now that I rattled off about that, I think it's all I have to say so far about ttc. The days sure go by slow! Maybe because I'm charting or bc I'm not sure if O is happening yet or not, DH and I have different theories about that. I'm very confident that it will be happening this month though so I'm sure we'll hit it either way. Just gotta see if it works!

C#1, CD14
Day 14!
This cycle is so hard to predict because it's filled with doubt. My cycles used to be super predictable. Ovulate around day 14, period always on day 28. Like clockwork, I was. Now...not so much. So I can't decide what's going on for sure. Am I O'ing? Maybe. I have stretchy cm today, which is promising. It's nothing like the previous months though. Is it just gearing up for O still? Very possibly.
Either way, whether I did, am or will, I have promising signs that say I'll be fertile this month again for my chance at conceiving. We're going to cover a three week arc so whenever O happens, we should definitely hit it.
I won't be counting myself into the TWW until I'm positive I O'ed. Which means I may only have a few day wait instead.
AF is due April 11th so that may or may not be testing day, depending on how I feel. There's no guarantees anymore that a missing period is a sure sign for a BFP as maybe my cycles are longer now. I guess we'll see in two weeks!

Maternity Shirt Woes
Okay, I may be going a little crazy.
I saw a shirt today, a shirt that I have to have. In fact, I nearly bought it, had it in my cart when I realized that I didn't have the money for it and oh yeah, it's a bit EARLY to be buying things like that, seeing that it was a maternity shirt. For the late second/third trimester. Exclusively if I was having a girl.
Now maybe it's my Sophie Kinsella mindset kicking in, but it would be an investment to buy this shirt. It'll be gone by the end of the season, way before I find out the gender if I even got a BFP this month. It would be my favorite preggo shirt if I was having a girl. It would have been perfect for my pregnancy with Katie!
But, it's a *gasp* full price shirt of $26 plus shipping. That I may never even get to wear!
I don't know what to do. I know that Bill would let me take two weeks of personal money ahead of time to get this shirt. But then I'm out money for half a month for a shirt that, at the very best, I couldnt wear for 7 months.
Anyway, it's a black fitted tee that has hot pink glitter writing that says FUTURE PRINCESS IN PROGRESS, topped with a crown. Doesn't that sound adorable?? I never saw a shirt quite like it when I was looking for cute tops in my last pregnancy.
I want it. I'm not pregnant!

Cycle #1; CD 12
CD 12 today, nearly half way through the cycle. I noticed this morning that I was a bit bloated, so I'm wondering if that's a sign that O is around the corner. BD'ing is on track so hopefully we'll hit O whenever it decides to happen. At the same time, BD'ing makes it difficult to figure out CM to understand when O is happening so we might end up doing it blindly.
ETA: I may be wrong about the last sentence. Judging from today's cm, I think I'm either O'ing or right about to. Hopefully I'm right!

Cycle 1; CD 10
I'm now CD 10. If I was on my normal cycle, I'd be gearing up for ovulation in 2-4 days. Last month though it seemed like I had a late ovulation cycle. So far, no O signs yet. We dtd twice so far, trying to do every other day for this month and every day while around O.
I'm hungrier this month. Now that I have my cycle back I'm eating more. I haven't checked my weight in a few months but I feel a bit heavier. Last time I weighed, I was around 112. My goal is to be around 120. I'm hoping I'm at least 115, that's the weight I was when I was 8 weeks pregnant with Katie.

CD 4
I'm now on day 4 of my first cycle. Looks like the last day for AF. I'm also officially charting now, since I can't remember anything. I wasn't sure if I would because last time the one month I stopped obsessing and charting was the month I got pregnant. But, I'll be lost and will have no idea about BD dates or anything if I don't. Fertility Friend has become better since two years ago as it's now a free app - which makes it much easier to chart and keep things updated!
I haven't decided yet how many cycles I'll ttc for. I'm currently toying with the idea of only going for three months. If it doesn't happen then, wait until January/February to start again. That way I could go on a relaxing cruise with no morning sickness worries, skip horoscope signs I'm trying to avoid, and have a breather. That's if I don't take a trip to crazy town first and become obsessed with getting pregnant. I'm not obsessed yet, but will admit that this cycle would be the perfect cycle to get pregnant. I guess I'll take it a cycle at a time.

AF is here
AF IS HERE!!!
I officially have my cycles back and couldn't be more excited. Since Katie was about a month old, April has been my TTC month and now I'll actually be able to try!
April - May would be perfect months to get pregnant in. It would be a Capricorn or Aquarius, a girl according to Chinese charts, and I'd be comfortably in my ever hungry second trimester by September when Katie and I will be going on a Disney Cruise with buffets and room service (which would be a fun follow up to finding out the gender before going too).
So there's my goal. If I reach it, fun! But if not, at least for right now, it's fine too. Less stress, more Katie time. I guess we'll see!
I had paralyzing cramps two days ago but none now. Hoping I don't have a hellish, crampy Period.
I know it's stupid, but I wrote Mr. Storky about this ttc cycle two days ago and now I have a period. Time before that I wrote him and I got a baby. So...thanks Mr. Storky.

Mr. Storky...2010
Tonight while Katie was in her swing watching Hercules for the first time, I went cruising on the ttc board that I was on when we were trying for Katie. Guess what I found! At the top of the page was a thread called "Dear Mr. Storky", which sounded awfully familiar. I clicked it and saw that the thread dated all the way back to 2008 and was still going. I suddenly remembered typing the words "Dear Mr. Storky" while we were ttc last time so I clicked through until I got to September 12, 2010. There it was, my letter to the Stork! It brought tears to my eyes as my avatar was of Katie's first ultrasound and the siggy had all the facts about early in my pregnancy. How hard it is to believe that this bouncing, bubbly girl that I adore so much and who has become my life was once just a wish that I "asked the Stork for." It's hard to remember a time when I wasn't toting around my little buddy.
I copied the letter and will post it here so I don't lose it again. Maybe I'll write one for this next baby too?
Dear Mr. Storky,
I'm sending you extra special wings so that maybe this month you can beat the monthly race between you and :witch: AF. I would greatly love to be blessed with a little one and this would be perfect timing. I'll take great care of what you leave me, I promise!
Please hurry, I'm on the edge of my seat for that :bfp: . Do you think 14 days is enough time for you to reach me? It would be a wonderful gift for my husband's birthday in a few weeks as well! Please say yes!
Forever grateful...

(Did you take note of the date? Mr. Storky obviously got my letter, as I got my BFP the very month after!

First TTC Cycle
Even though my other blog was supposed to be about me and a family as a whole (which is why it's called my journey to mommyhood) Katie sort of took it over. To be fair and not over run that blog with ttc stuff for the next baby, I decided to make a separate one. It's hard enough to keep the other blogs updated but I'm sure I'll have ttc news that will need to be written down somewhere at least biweekly. It may seem a little early to start this, as my cycles haven't proven they returned since I'm still heavily breastfeeding 8 1/2 month old Katie Belle, but my body seems to be gearing up for the last few weeks. It really felt like I ovulated this month, but without proof of my cycles being here I figure myself in an almost fictional tww. It's possible, but I've been fooled before. However this week was the first time we actually ttc for this one. We'll see in two weeks if that mattered or not. I'm still not going crazy over the need to have another. I definitely love the thought and will be overjoyed if it happens soon (which there's a good chance of since now I made vacation plans for 6 months ahead) but getting negatives on hpts won't be devastating either. My life has just gone back to normal and regained balance. I can get things done now and have hobbies again. Pregnancy will wipe all of that away. It'll also axe Katie's first beach trip as I get so car sick. But another baby would be a great blessing and I admit that I'm a little baby obsessed when I can block out the memories of my last pregnancy! Basically, I'm going to try to go with the flow in a "whatever happens, happens" mentality. Yeah right, we'll see how many weeks that lasts...
